Joe Rameer, Intern

Joe works with men and teen boys who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or a difficult life transition. He also welcomes conversations about relationships and communication, father-related struggles, spiritual or religious concerns, and patterns around pornography, sex, phone use, or other behaviors that feel difficult to change.

Joe values a counseling relationship built on patience and honesty. He wants clients to have space to talk openly about what is going on, including the things that may feel hard to say out loud. Together, the work may involve noticing recurring patterns, exploring the experiences and relationships that have shaped you, and thinking about the kind of life, relationships, and future you want to build.

Joe is working toward his Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He is currently seeing clients as a counseling intern through St. Louis Counseling Center, both in person and virtually for clients located in Missouri.
