Maddie Deubner, Intern

Maddie is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University and is a member of Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society. Maddie is particularly interested in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the many stressors that come with simply being human. As a counselor-in-training, Maddie is developing an integrative approach that draws from person-centered, Gestalt, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives. She works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, develop practical tools, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them. Maddie believes everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.

Reaching out for counseling can feel intimidating, and if you're feeling nervous or unsure, you are not alone. Maddie hopes to create a space where you can show up as you are, take things one step at a time, and know you don't have to face life's challenges by yourself. She approaches counseling with curiosity, compassion, and a genuine desire to meet each person where they are. Outside of the counseling office, Maddie enjoys hiking, exploring new places, spending time with her dog Evie, and rarely turns down a good dessert. She believes humor has an important place in healing and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges and discover new possibilities for their lives.
